I can capture the sound through it but it adds a lot of latency which makes it unusable for me.

Why was this changed Previous versions worked just fine without this shitty driver.

New Macs use the T2 chip for sound and the old driver wont work on these Macs.

Additionally Apple made changes in the OS security in High Sierra which discourages the old driver type.

Older Macs or Macs not on High Sierra still work easily with the older driver.

These changes arent specific to ScreenFlow so any number of programs that capture system sound may be impacted.

Can you post your complete workflow (macOS, Mac computer model, all software being used during capture) and show us the amount of latency so we can work to improve it.

I just realized I cant use my headphones anymore since (of course) there is no more audio send to my audio interface.

Itll take time for developers to work through some aspects of the change.

As part of your report it should be obvious to support why youre asking for it.

Duplicate that file (better to be safe) and open the duplicate with 8.0 and edit in 8.
